ThriveCart
Add ThriveCart to your product for your customers, and give your AI agents governed access to it.
ThriveCart is a checkout rather than a storefront, which changes what an integration is for: the interesting moment is the order, not the catalogue. Products come in four shapes, the main product, an upsell, a downsell and a bump, and one order can contain several of them, so a handler that assumes one product per purchase reports the wrong revenue on the first funnel it meets. Events are the backbone. Order created, a product paid within an order, a rebill on a subscription, a refund and the affiliate events each arrive as their own notification, and event subscriptions deliver them as JSON to endpoints you nominate per event rather than as one firehose. Every payload carries a secret word that is checked before anything is trusted, because a checkout webhook anybody can forge is an entitlement anybody can grant themselves. Each customer generates their own API token, and calls are limited per account, so a bulk read has to be paced.
In your product
Embedded for your customers. Per-tenant auth, no per-customer code, maintained by fastn.
Let each customer connect their own ThriveCart account so orders and the entitlements they grant belong to the business that made the sale.
Handle an order carrying a bump, an upsell and a downsell as one purchase, rather than counting the main product alone.
Verify the secret word on every incoming event before granting anything, since a forged checkout notification is a free entitlement.
Subscribe to rebill and refund events separately, so a lapsed subscription and a reversed payment are handled differently.
For your AI agents
Governed, audited access for the agents you build, through the MCP server.
An agent explains what a customer bought by reading the order and every product on it.
An agent reports which subscriptions failed to rebill this week and what each was worth.
An agent reconciles a refund against the order it reversed, with both recorded.
Example prompt
What did this customer actually buy, including bumps and upsells, and has any of it been refunded?
Set up ThriveCart in 4 steps
- 01Enable the ThriveCart connector in your fastn dashboard.
- 02Have each customer create their own API token and secret word, so orders and entitlements stay with the business that made the sale.
- 03Map the product, customer and order fields your product uses, then subscribe to the order, rebill and refund events separately.
- 04Call it from your product and expose the same connection to your agents through the MCP gateway.
Why teams use the ThriveCart integration
What you get by embedding it with fastn instead of building it yourself.
- Ship a ThriveCart integration without building it. Your customers connect their own ThriveCart account inside your product and work their orders, payments and customers there, with no per-customer code on your side.
- Handle the part that actually costs time: money and order state must never be double-applied, and reconciliation has to be possible. fastn owns the auth, token refresh, rate limits, pagination and breaking-change fixes, so a ThriveCart update is not your on-call problem.
- One integration serves your product and your agents. The same governed ThriveCart connection powers in-product features and gives AI agents scoped, audited access, so you keep commerce and payment records in step with your product without wiring it twice.

ThriveCart integration FAQ
How do I add a ThriveCart integration to my product?
Enable the ThriveCart connector in your fastn dashboard, then let each customer authenticate their own ThriveCart account. fastn handles the OAuth flow, token storage and refresh per tenant, so there is no ThriveCart client code in your app and no per-customer branch in your codebase. Setup is 4 steps.
Do my customers each connect their own ThriveCart account?
Yes. Every connection is scoped to the individual customer, so each authorises their own ThriveCart account and only ever sees their own orders, payments and customers. That per-tenant isolation is the point of an embedded integration: you support the long tail of customer setups without maintaining an integration per customer.
Can AI agents use this ThriveCart integration?
Yes. The same connection is exposed to your agents through the fastn MCP gateway, with permissions scoped per tenant and every call audited. An agent explains what a customer bought by reading the order and every product on it.
Who maintains the ThriveCart integration?
fastn does. When ThriveCart changes an endpoint, deprecates a field or alters its auth, the fix lands in the connector rather than in your backlog, and your customers' connections keep working.
Is the ThriveCart integration safe for payment and order writes?
Writes are idempotent, so a retry cannot double-charge or duplicate an order, and every call is logged per tenant so a transaction can be reconciled against the event that triggered it.
Can my product react to a new order, payment or refund immediately?
Yes, through event triggers, so fulfilment, entitlement or accounting steps run as soon as the event lands rather than on a nightly sync.
What can I build with the ThriveCart integration?
A common starting point: let each customer connect their own ThriveCart account so orders and the entitlements they grant belong to the business that made the sale. Teams also use it for the other use cases listed above, and expose it to agents for governed reads and writes.
How much does the ThriveCart integration cost?
It is included. Pricing is based on connected accounts, not on how many connectors you enable, so adding ThriveCart does not change your per-connector cost. You can start free with 3 connected accounts.
