Qualtrics
Add Qualtrics to your product for your customers, and give your AI agents governed access to it.
Qualtrics holds the survey and everything that comes out of it: the survey definition with its question ids and blocks, the responses with their embedded data, the distributions that went out, and the contacts in XM Directory that received them. Two things catch integrations out. The API base URL carries the datacentre a brand lives in, so a hard-coded host works for one customer and fails for the next. And response retrieval is asynchronous by design: you request an export, poll until it is ready, then download it, which is a different shape from a paged list. Question ids are generated rather than named, so mapping is per survey and per customer, and a redesigned survey is a mapping change rather than a release on your side. fastn holds the credentials per tenant and tracks Qualtrics API changes.
In your product
Embedded for your customers. Per-tenant auth, no per-customer code, maintained by fastn.
Let each customer connect their own Qualtrics brand, including the datacentre their account lives in, so the base URL is configuration rather than a constant in your code.
Pull responses through the export flow: request it, poll until it is ready, then download, instead of expecting a simple paged read.
Create a distribution or add a contact to an XM Directory mailing list when something in your product warrants asking.
Map each survey's own generated question ids and embedded data fields per customer, so a redesign does not quietly break your reporting.
For your AI agents
Governed, audited access for the agents you build, through the MCP server.
An agent reads one brand's responses for a survey and reports where scores moved.
An agent looks up a survey's question definitions before it interprets an answer code.
An agent triggers a distribution within governed permissions, with the send attributed.
Example prompt
Summarise this quarter's responses for that survey and tell me which question drove the biggest change.
Set up Qualtrics in 4 steps
- 01Enable the Qualtrics connector in your fastn dashboard.
- 02Have each customer authorise their own brand, and record the datacentre id their API calls have to use.
- 03Map the surveys, question ids and embedded data fields your product reads, then enable the exports and distributions you need.
- 04Call it from your product and expose the same connection to your agents through the MCP gateway.
Why teams use the Qualtrics integration
What you get by embedding it with fastn instead of building it yourself.
- Ship a Qualtrics integration without building it. Your customers connect their own Qualtrics account inside your product and work their records, datasets and fields there, with no per-customer code on your side.
- Handle the part that actually costs time: schemas differ per customer and change without notice, and volumes can be large. fastn owns the auth, token refresh, rate limits, pagination and breaking-change fixes, so a Qualtrics update is not your on-call problem.
- One integration serves your product and your agents. The same governed Qualtrics connection powers in-product features and gives AI agents scoped, audited access, so you read and write your customers' data where it already lives without wiring it twice.

Qualtrics integration FAQ
How do I add a Qualtrics integration to my product?
Enable the Qualtrics connector in your fastn dashboard, then let each customer authenticate their own Qualtrics account. fastn handles the OAuth flow, token storage and refresh per tenant, so there is no Qualtrics client code in your app and no per-customer branch in your codebase. Setup is 4 steps.
Do my customers each connect their own Qualtrics account?
Yes. Every connection is scoped to the individual customer, so each authorises their own Qualtrics account and only ever sees their own records, datasets and fields. That per-tenant isolation is the point of an embedded integration: you support the long tail of customer setups without maintaining an integration per customer.
Can AI agents use this Qualtrics integration?
Yes. The same connection is exposed to your agents through the fastn MCP gateway, with permissions scoped per tenant and every call audited. An agent reads one brand's responses for a survey and reports where scores moved.
Who maintains the Qualtrics integration?
fastn does. When Qualtrics changes an endpoint, deprecates a field or alters its auth, the fix lands in the connector rather than in your backlog, and your customers' connections keep working.
Does the Qualtrics integration adapt when a customer's schema changes?
Schema and field mapping is configuration per customer, so a change on their side is a mapping update rather than a code change and a release on yours.
How are large Qualtrics reads handled?
Pagination and throttling are handled for you, and initial backfills are rate-limited so a large import does not exhaust a customer's API allowance.
What can I build with the Qualtrics integration?
A common starting point: let each customer connect their own Qualtrics brand, including the datacentre their account lives in, so the base URL is configuration rather than a constant in your code. Teams also use it for the other use cases listed above, and expose it to agents for governed reads and writes.
How much does the Qualtrics integration cost?
It is included. Pricing is based on connected accounts, not on how many connectors you enable, so adding Qualtrics does not change your per-connector cost. You can start free with 3 connected accounts.
